When Do I Mark Player Advancement in the Catalyst Area?
I've been looking at the topics here and sometimes I see that the player advancement isn't marked in the catalyst area and sometimes it is.
For example, man on first and the batter gets a single. Do I write S.1-2?
When would I write it and when shouldn't I?
Should it mostly be used on situations like errors, tagging up, etc.?
I indicate runner advancement only when it's not obvious from the baserunners indicated in the following box. Basically, only when more information is needed to piece the game together.
In the case of a single with a runner on first you only need to indicate runner advancement if something other than a simple movement to second or third occurs.
